We are a small home-based business dedicated to providing you with quality handcrafted products and superior customer service.

Before I created The White Rope Candle Company I was content with making candles for myself and family members but, I really wanted to turn my love of candles into a business. I’ve always loved candles so I thought this would be a great thing to get into and show everyone that handmade can be and is better than mass produced products.

I spent so many months researching and testing. All of the research finally paid off. I was finally happy with the products and I was making and ready to put them out there for the world to see.

It turns out, the road was more difficult than I had ever imagined. It seemed most people were still putting their trust and money into the big brand named candle companies and forgetting about small businesses. But, I kept going, determined to build a community of fellow candle lovers that would put their trust into me and the products I make. 

Throughout those tough years there was always a special someone by my side watching and ready to smell the next best thing. My “partner” wasn’t of the humankind. She was a rescued pit bull. She was our family dog. She was love. She was Meeka!

Years later Meeka became very ill and soon after a diagnosis we were saying our goodbyes.

It didn’t take me long to decide the direction I wanted to go with my business. Basically, it was going to be all about her! She is the inspiration behind The White Rope Candle Company. The name comes from her favorite toy, her black and white rope; frayed and torn but still strong enough to withstand more tugs. A symbol of the struggles I’ve encountered along the way. The rope hangs in my office as a daily reminder to never give up.

Through it all, the response has been more than I could have ever imagined. I hear and see joy and happiness from everyone who smells our products. Wanting to see my customers happy and choosing handmade is the main reason I started a business in the first place.
